1972 is a mod created by CTAccount with some writing help from Zenobiyl2 based on the 1972 United States presidential election.[1] Being released on July 29th, 2021, 1972 is one of the first mods to use a theme, CYOA, and have more than 25 questions. As of June 9th, 2023, no Richard Nixon side has been made- and only George McGovern is playable. Humorously enough, in all of the alt 1972 mods (1972b, 1972c, 1972d, 1972 McGoverning, and 1972 Bayh) with the exception of 1972 RFK, the Republican candidate is not playable. 1972 has been confirmed to not be winnable on normal difficulty, presenting quite a challenge for the player to win. However, on easy difficulty and easier, you can win with the right answers. RNG is disabled in this mod, and each answer will have the same effect in every game. 1972 is a community fan favorite, and despite it being nearly 2 years old, it is one of the most popular mods in all of TCT.
