How to Edit on the Wiki

From The Wiki Trail

These are the official editing guidelines of The Wiki Trail, a thorough step-by-step guide as to how pages should be formatted and displayed on the wiki. This will help you understand the nooks and crannies of the The Wiki Trail.

Writing[edit]

Most of the pages on the wiki must at least have 2-3 sentences to be considered presentable on the wiki.

The writing style of the page should depend on the piece of content being displayed.

The infobox contains a summary of the browser/website/operating system/software. Elections use the {{Template:ElectionsXML}}, Achievements use the {{Template:AchievementXML}} and Guides uses the {{Template:GuideXML}}.

The opening sentence should contain a brief description of the depicted election or achievement.

Synopsis[edit]

The synopsis section should have a detailed synopsis of the depicted election or achievement.

Further Information[edit]

The further information section should display links to lore materials or a Wikipedia page, if possible.

Navboxes[edit]

At the bottom of each page should be a navbox that connects all of the pages of one category related to the category.

An article's page must display the name, candidates, release date (optionally), and modmaker.

Trivia[edit]

If there is notable trivia about the depicted, it can go here.

Redirects[edit]

If there is another popular name for a mod, then a redirect can be made.
