The Campaign Trail (American History USA)[edit | edit source]

The Campaign Trail

The Campaign Trail's original site was created by Dan Bryan on April 7th, 2012. The site features the Dan Bryan created scenarios of 1844, 1860, 1896, 1916, 1948, 1960, 1968, 1976, 2000, 2012, 2016a, 2016, and 2020, along with a random questions function and a sitewide leaderboard for each scenario.

New Campaign Trail[edit | edit source]

New Campaign Trail

New Campaign Trail was created by DecstarG on April 16th, 2021, and released to the public the following day. The site was created to ease the modding process, and preserve mods. As a result, much of the mods released for The Campaign Trail are hosted there, along with the original mods by Dan Bryan and some achievements.

Campaign Trail Showcase[edit | edit source]

Campaign Trail Showcase

Campaign Trail Showcase was created by Jet and Obummer in August 2023, starting development on July 19th 2023. The site was created due to a desire to have an alternative to New Campaign Trail with new features that the New Campaign Trail team disagreed with. Many of these features have since been added to New Campaign Trail since Campaign Trail Showcase's release. The site has its own achievements, distinct from New Campaign Trail. Notably, it hosted Tex's Mod Library since the Tex-Decstar Dispute of 2023. Though Tex's mods have since been readded to New Campaign Trail. It is notable for letting modders add their own achievements and custom images, descriptions, and theming to their mod boxes. It also features an advanced cheat console and autoplay modes that developers use for testing.

NCT Mod Jam[edit | edit source]

NCT Mod Jam hosts the mini-mods created for the sake of the Mod Jam contests.

New Campaign Trail Private Canary[edit | edit source]

Decstar has used a private canary site to test forthcoming features for New Campaign Trail. However, he has only made it available upon request, and only while features are being tested.

Link to the subreddit

r/thecampaigntrail is the official subreddit of The Campaign Trail, created by threaljmotm on November 10th, 2019. The subreddit has held elections to determine the moderator role, and is the most commonly used site to initially release mods.

Currently, there are three official blogs relating to The Campaign Trail. Creator DecstarG holds a development blog to discuss new features. Astro Hunch-o operates Liquid Astro on Modding, discussing modding as a whole. Tom1923 operates Writing Right, with tips on how to write mods.

Listman's Code 2 Editor Prototype

There have been several attempts at making automated Code makers, in order to ease modding difficulty. The current mod tool was created by Jet on April 5th, 2023, which allows the creation/editing of Code 2s. Previously, Decstar had made a Code 1 editor in Early 2022, and Listman had developed a never released prototype Code 2 Editor around December of 2022.

TCT Holds an official Discord server. It involves discussion of current events, gameplay feats, and holds a monthly election for the ceremonial Cheople's Pief role.
